The George F. Reynolds Library refresh was focused on providing a more functional, welcoming entry and relocating & expanding the children's area. sDC designed new custom service points that allow staff to stand or sit while assisting library customers. Relocating the collection to accommodate more space for the children’s collection also opened up more space for adult computing and remote work support services.

New furniture, carpet and paint throughout the space uplifted the feel of the entire library. The expanded children’s area features a larger area to host storytime, including suspended acoustical abstract shapes that can be imagined as clouds or snowflakes. BPL also commissioned local artists to complete a vibrant mural.
